Turning Your USDC into Cash
You've been paid in USDC—now what? The simplest, safest route for newcomers is to use a regulated crypto exchange, move the USDC there, and withdraw directly to your bank.
Quick-start (3-5 minutes)
1Create (or log in to) an exchange account
2Generate a Polygon USDC deposit address
- In your exchange dashboard click Deposit → Crypto → USDC.
- Choose Network: Polygon (POL). Copy the address.
3Send USDC from Adultra Wallet
- Open Dashboard → Wallet, hit Withdraw, paste the exchange address, and enter the USDC amount.
- Confirm in your Web3 wallet.
4Sell USDC for USD
- Once the deposit shows up (~30 s), click Trade → Sell USDC → USD.
- You can sell 100% instantly at market price—no spread, just a small exchange fee.
5Withdraw USD to your bank
- Link ACH (free, 1-2 days) or a debit card (instant, ~1%).
- Click Withdraw → USD → Bank Account. Done!
Why we spotlight exchanges
- Simplicity. One account, one KYC, fiat on-ramps ⟷ off-ramps built-in.
- Regulated & insured. U.S. exchanges keep customer dollars in segregated
bank accounts (FDIC-pass-through up to $250 k in most cases). - Direct to USD. No need for third-party swaps, smart-contract bridges, or extra gas.
- Low cost. Exchange sell/withdraw fee ≈ 0.5% or less.
FAQ
How long do ACH withdrawals take?
Typically 1-2 business days. For larger accounts Kraken and Coinbase also support same-day Fedwire withdrawals (small extra fee).
What about Binance.US?
Binance halted dollar withdrawals for U.S. users in 2023. Until that situation stabilises, we don't recommend it.
Can I stay in crypto instead of cashing out?
Absolutely. You can hold USDC (it's fully backed 1-for-1), move it to other chains, or swap into stable-coin yield products—your choice.
Is there a minimum cash-out?
Exchanges set small minimums (often $10). On Adultra you can withdraw any amount—as low as 1 USDC—straight to your exchange wallet.
